Gifts
Hello. We are getting married. It is customary on such occasions to ask for some sort of wedding gift. If by some power you feel compelled to commemorate the officialdom and pomp of our marriage with a token of celebration, we would gladly receive it with thanks.
Your generous gift will go towards our honeymoon.
"A honeymoon?" you ask. "A moon of honey?" Yes. And your kind contribution will allow us to journey there.
We are pondering on the wisdom of travelling to Italy after our wedding. We will be traveling there as conjoined humans — spiritually, that is.
We have a very, very tenuous connection to Italy in that
a) we both think about the Roman Empire daily (and the Roman Republic a fair bit too),
b) we like the food, and
c) we'll be honest, we've written a lot about it in our travel writing work and need to now see the places we have but researched from afar.
How about it? Florence, Trieste, Sardinia, Etruria, Rome, Bologna, Puglia, Venice, Milan, Napoli, Sicily... It has more famous destinations than any other country in the world. Maybe.
One of us (guess who) has even been toiling away at Italian on Duolingo. That's how committed we are to this as-yet-unplanned honeymoon.
Either that, or somewhere far-flung and palm-fringed.
Contributing
There are a couple of ways that you may give your very kind contribution to our honeymoon funds.
On the day of our wedding, we would gladly accept physical tokens of your kindness, in sealed envelopes, which shall be placed in a box for wedding cards from well wishers.
If you would prefer to contribute electronically, you may do so via bank transfer. In this case, please fill out the form below, making sure to click 'Proceed' when finished, to receive an email from us with further details.
Thank you very much.
Physical gifts
Physical gifts will also be gladly received, and will likely be placed in a conspicuous position inside our home, or utilised to the best that their design allows, or kept for posterity. We appreciate your kindness and consideration.
